Meet Elizabeth Holmes: Style Journalist and Author of HRH: So Many Thoughts
It’s no secret; we’re all a little obsessed with the Royal Family’s style, from chronicling Kate Middleton’s coats to revealing Meghan Markle’s affordable fashion finds. But why does this fascination exist? Longtime journalist, style reporter,
"Sometimes people ask, 'Why do you care so much about what they're wearing?' I care because they care, because they're putting a lot of thought into it because they recognize, good or bad, that this attention is there. And they're going to harness it to further their purpose," explains Holmes. On November 17th, Holmes’ book, HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style, launches, which will be a celebration of the Queen, Diana, Kate, and Meghan and the meaning behind their unique style through stunning imagery.
Prior to becoming an expert in all things Royal Family, Holmes began her career as an on-air correspondent for a television station in Michigan, into political reporting—trailing John McCain, Sarah Palin, and Mitt Romney in the 2008 presidential campaign—and finally, joined the Wall Street Journal. Holmes spent ten years at the Wall Street Journal, where she became the Senior Style Reporter and columnist, where she focused on the business of the fashion and beauty industry. In 2017, Holmes left WSJ to enter the new world of freelance, writing for esteemed publications including Town & Country, The New York Times, and more.
