Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have managed to live their life very quietly in Montecito, California, when they aren’t attending events every now and then. So how are things going for
the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they settle into life as parents of two? Peoplegot some insight from multiple sources, including Meghan’s makeup artist and friend, Daniel Martin.
Martin told the outlet that six months into welcoming their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana, “they are loving life as a family of four. They’ve struck a rhythm as a foursome.”
Martin said that Meghan and Harry were eager to return to California after their New York City trip this fall, as their children Lili and Archie remained there and didn’t travel with them. “[They] couldn’t wait to get home,” Martin said. “It’s about finding that work-life balance now, which ties into Meghan lobbying for parental paid leave. They’re experiencing it themselves. They know it affects everyone in the family."
A separate source told People that Meghan and Harry really lean on each other in their new lives as non-working royals, making their own way in the U.S. Two years into stepping back from their senior royal family roles and moving out of England, “They are inseparable,” the source said. “Nothing has changed.”
The last update about Meghan and Harry’s family life came earlier this month in Us Weekly. A source spoke to the outlet about what Lili is like.
“She’s such a sweet-natured baby and a real joy to be around,” the source said. “They’re keeping a note of all her new exciting milestones. It’s amazing how quickly she’s growing.”
The source added that Meghan and Harry generally “feel so fortunate to be in the position they’re in today. They don’t take anything for granted and are planning to do something to help others over the holidays—to give back!”
