Blackpink’s Jennie Just Shared a Sneak Peek of Her New Gentle Monster Eyewear Collaboration
The Blackpink takeover of the fashion industry continues. All four members of the record-smashing K-pop girl group are already luxury fashion house ambassadors—Jennie for Chanel, Lisa for Celine, Jisoo for Dior,
and Rosé for Saint Laurent—but they’re perfectly capable of launching their own collaborations, too, thank you very much. Exhibit A: Jennie Kim just revealed the next iteration of her ongoing partnership with Korean eyewear outfitters Gentle Monster.
Set to release in 2022, Jennie’s sophomore collection, titled “Jentle Garden,” will be a follow-up to her first capsule, called “Jentle Home.” which launched in April 2020 to immediate fan fervor. (Despite being restocked on multiple occasions, the products sold out almost instantly every time, per Women’s Wear Daily.) Inspired by a childhood dollhouse, the capsule featured 15 retro-style pairs of glasses and sunglasses, as well as three eyewear chains. An accompanying pop-up launched in Seoul in May 2020, with Jennie herself
Not much is known about the new launch, though Jennie’s recent Instagram posts about the collaboration give us a few hints. It’s likely the items will come in bright floral and pastel hues, and some fans are anticipating a “classy, elegant” and “French vibe.” Exact items and their prices have yet to be announced, but each of the Jentle Home products ran between $130 and $260, so it’s likely Jentle Garden will follow the same cost structure.
remember when Jentle Home Collection was out? the website crashed and all the collection were sold like hotcakes as soon as it dropped, now we got a new one for 2022 which is Jentle Garden. can’t wait to see what Jennie has for us this time. ? pic.twitter.com/YusGYQatFt

While we wait for more Jentle news, Blackpink is busy stamping its brand on another Gen Z-favorite accessory: the smartphone case. (The group recently launched a collaboration with Casetify.) If the K-pop group succeeds in its mission for world domination, at least we can rest assured knowing the future will be chic.
