"Heaven sent you to me / I'm just hopin’ I don't repeat history" reads as Grande's wish not to have this relationship end like those in her past.

The lyric "Boy, I'm tryna meet your mama on a Sunday" also seems to suggest these two aren't exactly keeping things under wraps anymore.
