Kim Kardashian Called Ex Kanye West Crying About Saint Seeing an Ad About Her Sex Tape
The Kardashianswill premiere Thursday on Hulu, but the Los Angeles Timesand Daily Mail report that the series' first episode touches on one very personal moment in Kim Kardashian's life: her then-five-year-old
son Saint seeing an advertisement on Roblox for unseen footage of her and then-boyfriend Ray-J's infamous sex tape.
Saint saw the ad and showed it to Kardashian during a family gathering/barbecue. Later on, while in her closet packing for her Saturday Night Live hosting gig, Kardashian gathered with her mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian while getting on the phone with her lawyer Marty Singer and team to discuss the issue.
“I’ll sue for nominal damages. The message is more important than the dollars, at this point,” Kardashian told Singer, via the Los Angeles Times. Later she added to him, “I don’t want it to be copied. I have four fucking kids. I can’t go through this again. This was like 20 years ago. I’m not going to go through this again. I know the right attorneys this time. I know exactly what to do this time....I have all the time, all the money, and all of the resources to burn them all to the fucking ground.”
The Daily Mail added that Kardashian called her ex-husband West, from whom she filed for divorce in February 2021, crying over the matter. “I almost died when Saint thought it was funny,” she told West, noting Saint didn't understand the ad's context. She said she would've “died inside” if Saint was “a little bit older and old enough to read.”
In a confessional interview, Kardashian said that while she was crying, West helped calm her down. “Kanye was like, listen you have the power, nothing will cancel you. Stop worrying about the public perception. you know who you are,” she said.
The Los Angeles Timesreports that Kardashian spoke about her relationship with West at the time in another confessional interview. They were on good terms then. “Kanye and I are still going through a divorce now,” she said. “We’re just trying to figure it out—how to be good parents to our kids together, of how to be good friends to each other. Ultimate goal, no matter what, is just happiness and following that, whatever that looks like.”
The series premieres on Hulu this Thursday, April 14.
