The Gossip Girl Reboot Is Bringing Some Incredible Fashion to the Streets of New York City

It's 2020, and Gossip Girl is back. There's a brand-new cast and generation on the Upper East Side, and they've got a collective fashion sense that would surely be the envy

of Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen. In the middle of a pandemic, it is pretty comforting to see all the bright colors out on the streets of Manhattan, during a year when going outside and dressing up has hardly been a focus.

If you take a look at the IMDB page for the show, there is only one character in this new friend group named, Emily Alyn Lind's character, Audrey. Jordan Alexander and Whitney Peak are apparently the other two main characters featured in the new collection of private-school New Yorkers. According to Deadline, Audrey (Lind) "has been in a long term relationship and is beginning to wonder what more could be out there."

The first season, which is expected to have 10 episodes, is also supposedly pretty queer, per Out magazine.

"How much homoeroticism can I expect from it?" one fan tweeted at Joshua Safran, the show's executive producer and showrunner. He responded: "Well, considering we have many queer characters, a lot?" He added: "There was not a lot of representation the first time around on the show. I was the only gay writer I think the entire time I was there. This time around the leads are nonwhite. There's a lot of queer content on this show. It is very much dealing with the way the world looks now, where wealth and privilege come from, and how you handle that. The thing I can't say is there is a twist, and that all relates to the twist."

You can see this queerness clearly in the fashion these new characters wear on the steps of the Met, as we welcome in a new age of gossip, scandal, and teens.
