Designers this Fall look to the past and revisit vintage styles, or so it seems when looking at the boots we spotted on the runways in all fashion capitals; 70s style incarnations in brown leather or suede, re-editions of wide fit boots nodding to the 80s , and refined designs borrowed from the equestrian world, worn with super tight pants, that (we bet)  in 2021 you will be teaming with super skinny jeans. 

What about the color? We suggest natural tones of  brown, from rawhide to caramel to dark brown, including subtle nudes. Of course, black is a no-brainer; choose suede or smooth leather, while bright hues are a mood booster on cold days. Try the ruby red boots from Alberta Ferretti and the patent variation from Marc Jacobs.

Finally, the details: also classic styles can  be revamped with the help of a creative touch, like smooth leather folding over to create unexpected volumes on slouchy boots, or straps embellishing the boot, shifting the attention to the ankle. Or you may opt for a pair of understated jockey-style timeless boots.
