Zendaya Flaunts Hot Pink Suit With Boyfriend Tom Holland at Sirius XM Town Hall
Zendaya and Tom Holland are continuing what is, ostensibly, the Spider-Man: No Way Home press tour, but has really transformed into their red-carpet relationship rollout. After several headline-making press appearances and
quiet dates in a row, the duo’s latest public display took place at the Sirius XM Town Hall event on Dec. 10, with Spider-Man co-star Jacob Batalon in tow.
While Holland and Batalon kept things understated in casual-chic attire—a polka-dot button-down and navy jacket, respectively—Zendaya opted, as is her wont, to stun. Strutting down the sidewalk in a hot pink Alexander McQueen tailored suit and oversized silver hoop earrings, she looked immaculate while posing on the step-and-repeat beside Holland.
During the interview, the couple chatted about their noticeable height difference and the reaction it's inspired from some fans. “My mom is taller than my dad. My mom is taller than everyone,” Zendaya said. “I honestly never thought of it as a thing. Because my parents were always that way. So I didn’t know that people cared until life, you know, but before that I had, no, I have no construct of it.”
“I remember when we were doing the Spider-Man screen tests...every girl that we tested for both roles was taller than me,” Holland added. “To be fair, I am quite short. But yeah, so maybe that was a decision [director] Jon Watts made and something he was aware of and wanted to break the stereotype. I think it’s great.”
Although the two have been co-stars since Spider-Man: Homecoming was released in 2017, Zendaya and Holland only recently came forth publicly with their relationship, as Holland addressed in a November interview with GQ. “One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” he said.
He also spoke about the paparazzi shots of him and Zendaya kissing, first released in July 2021: “I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy.”
In the months since the photos were first released, Holland and Zendaya have slowly peeled back the curtain on their romance, first with Instagram photos and interviews and, now, with moments like this one on Dec. 5:
What perhaps makes the budding relationship between the two so enchanting for fans is the power of the friendship behind it. As Zendaya explained in a recent interview with the Associated Press, they’ve leaned on each other for support over the course of multiple films: “I started when I was young [on the Disney Channel] so it was kind of like a slow progression, so I kind of got to learn it as I went and figure it out and get my footing a little bit. Whereas for [Holland], it was so much all at once because, when you’re Spider-Man, that’s kind of how it works. It’s like you’re Spider-Man, your life changes... so I have an extreme amount of empathy for that. So anything that I learned or have learned or continue to learn I share with him and anything he learns, he shares with me.”
