Steph Curry Gifts Teammates $38,000 Rolex Watches… & Kevin Durant Wants His
Steph Curry is widely regarded as one of the best shooters in basketball history. Now, the 33-year-old Golden State Warriors phenom has reinforced that status by writing his name into the
record books with one impressive accolade: surpassing the legendary Ray Allenon the NBA’s all-time 3-pointer list by hitting 2,974 career 3-pointers.
Curry finally pipped Allen during the first quarter of the Warriors’ Tuesday night game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Allen was even in the audience to witness his record being eclipsed. Curry’s first three-pointer was the one that got him over the line, but he went on to score another 22 points to help the Warriors go 105-96 over the Knicks.
To celebrate reaching this milestone, Curry presented his teammates Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala with brand-new, engraved Rolexes – a pretty lavish way to show your gratitude! Curry even had a Rolex employee there to help Green and Iguodala fit their fancy watches.
It’s not super clear from the video footage that’s emerged thus far, but we reckon they’re yellow-gold Submariner Dates with black dials (ref. 126618LN-0002), which retail for around US$38,000.

Both ballers were very grateful to receive such a lavish gift. “Steph is the best to ever shoot a basketball and we get the opportunity to go to work with him every day and it’s a very special thing,” Green said.
A third teammate, Klay Thompson, is also set to get an engraved Rollie from Steph, too. Green, Iguodala and Thompson have played alongside Curry the longest out of any of his teammates and the four of them have been through a lot together, including three championships, NBA.com relates.
It seems Curry’s horological gifting spree has inspired some jealously, however. Kevin Durant, who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets but was Curry’s teammate at Golden State for three years, tweeted out “send the Rollie.” No beef, though: he also sent his congratulations, saying “2974…more on the way. Congrats to the God, Steph Curry.”
