Channing Tatum Admitted He Was Worried About Being a Single Dad After Split With Jenna Dewan
Channing Tatum and actress Jenna Dewan split in 2018, and Tatum admitted in an interview on Friday withVMAN that one of the scariest things after his marriage ended was figuring out
how to relate to his 8-year-old daughter Everly as a single father.
“I know that I liked to act and play make-believe and magical things, but I just didn't know if I was going to be able to meet her on her level, especially now that I'm a single dad,” he said. “I was doubly afraid.”
He added, “Was I going to be able to do any of the stuff that a mother should do? That a mother, as a woman, can relate to her as?”
Luckily, Tatum found his rhythm parenting solo after he understood “all I really had to do was just go into her world and do whatever that is that she wanted to do.”
Everly is apparently a huge fan of dancing with her talented father, hiking, playing Mario Kart, and of course, anything Frozen-related. Tatum took Everly to see the live musical experience of Frozen in 2019, and he raved about it on Instagram.
“Ok frozen the musical = seriously magical,” he wrote.“The entire cast is so talented it's kind of unreal. I have no words.”
For Everly's birthday in July of 2021, he took to the platform again to celebrate her, sharing a photo of them together on a beautiful beach.
“You my littles are everything!” Tatum wrote in the caption. “You are my world and my heart. You were looking at the full moon in this pic and telling me the prophecy of the full moon mermaid and then we ran into the water and looked for her and played with glow sticks in the night water calling out to the mermaids. you said you touched a bald headed mermaid and saw a tail. Haha one day you will read this and i hope laugh. We have fun.”
Channing is now dating Zoë Kravitz, who he met on the set of her film Pussy Island.
