Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Star in Music Video He Directed For 'On My Way' Remix
It's almost Valentine's Day, and Jennifer Lopez shared her very romantic gift from Ben Affleck with fans on Saturday, February 12. Lopez recently released a music video for her song “On
My Way,” from the soundtrack to her new film, Marry Me. For his gift, Affleck directed a video for the song's remix, including footage from their own lives together to make the offering even more personal.
Lopez shared the video with fans and personal message.
“Content is queen,” she wrote. “In the spirit of that, I am going to share something very special and personal with you that normally that I would only share with my inner circle. It's an early Valentine's Day present from Ben. Watching it made me think about the journey of true love, it's unexpected twists and turns, and that when it's real, it actually can last forever.”
She added, “This seriously melted my heart.”
The film stars J.Lo and Owen Wilson, as the man swept up into a celebrity's life after they are impulsively married live on stage. Lopez plays that celebrity, a woman who was planning to marry her fiancé, played by pop star Maluma, before discovering at the last second he's been cheating on her. Destroyed and in a haze, she spots Wilson in the crowd and things snowball from there.
The original music video for “On My Way” was released in December, though Entertainment Tonight reports she recorded the song before reuniting with Affleck, making it seem like a hint at her future.
The couple originally dated from 2002 until 2004, even getting engaged. They ultimately split and married other people. Then in July of 2021, after both becoming single, they got public about their new relationship together and things seem to have been going great. During a November appearance on NBC's TODAY show to promote the film, Lopez even suggested she'd be open to marrying again.
“Yeah, I guess,” she said. “You know me, I'm a romantic. I always have been... I've been married a few times. I still believe in happily ever after for sure. One hundred percent.”
