From Kendrick to LeBron, the Style Winners and Losers From the Super Bowl
Loser: Hopeful sneakerheads
Eminem debuted a new pair of collaborative Jordan 3s during Sunday’s halftime show. After the show, he shared some close-up shots of the shoe
with its signature elephant print and a name tag that reads “Hi! My name is Slim Shady” on the heel. Eminem doesn’t have many Jordans to his name, but the guy only makes very, very limited grail shoes: on Flight Club, his shoes sell for upwards of $8,000, and they go way upwards after that, all the way to $25,000. These new Jordan 3s, dubbed the Air Shady, are probably destined to be similarly out-of-reach for the average sneakerhead.
Winners: Jay-Z, LeBron and the Rock
Most of the watches on display Sunday are going to be hard to come by for even the most well-connected collectors. But still, it’s nice to look. Let's start with the gorgeous view of LeBron James’s Patek Philippe Nautilus, the current belt holder of world’s most desirable, rare, and hyped-up watch. This piece with its Tiffany-blue dial is currently setting the watch world aflame. One sold for $6.5 million at auction in December and A-plus-plus listers like Leonardo DiCaprio have been spotted wearing the watch courtside at Staples, err, Crypto Dot Com arena.
