Kanye West Writes Poem About ‘Suffocating’ Divorce From Kim Kardashian
On Friday, March 4, Kanye West posted a poem about his divorce from Kim Kardashian on Instagram. All of his other recent posts, which included numerous attacks on her and new
boyfriend Pete Davidson, have been deleted.
“Divorce feels like full blown Covid / Divorce feels like your doctor don't know s--t,” he wrote in the post. ”Divorce feels like your walking on glass / Divorce feels like you're running through a glass wall / Divorce feels like you're being bullied in a class hall / Divorce feels like you're getting beat up in the mall / Divorce feels like heavy breathing / Divorce feels like suffocating.”
It goes on:
“Divorce feels like your teeth being pulled with pliers / Divorce feels like slower than paint and dryer / Divorce feels like nails in your hand / You are not you anymore / You're what left of you.”
Kardashian was declared legally single this week on March 2, in a virtual court hearing. She was also granted permission to return to her maiden name, dropping the “West.” Kardashian has since removed the name from her social media profiles. The end of the legal symbol of their relationship is a huge relief to Kardashian, according to a source speaking with E! News.
“Kim is feeling a huge sense of relief now that she has been declared legally single,” the insider claimed. “She is very happy and feels she is one step closer to reclaiming her independence and being able to move on in her life.”
West has been very public about his desire to reconcile with Kardashian since she first filed for divorce in February of 2021. His posts on the subject have evolved from seemingly romantic pleas to accusations of parental alienation and outright threats towards Davidson, as the comedian and beauty mogul have grown closer. The new couple started dating in November and Kardashian filed to be declared legally single in December.
West's lawyers filed an opposition to her request this February, which caused Kardashian's team to refile her plea, saying she was being caused “emotional distress” by West's online antics. The divorce proceedings are not concluded, however; they have another hearing scheduled for August 5.
