Last Week, The Best Dressed Men Sought New Ways To Shine With Electric Fashion
Every so often, fashion divides itself into factions, and last week you were either a rebel who adores hip, athleisure, and/or business casual looks or you were a modern day classic man
who went the opposite direction. Sure, it was possible to embrace both looks, but Black men chose to stick to one side of the fashion spectrum.
The Looks
The allure of leather glitz proved powerful, and its trendy nature remained unperishable as it made its way onto the fashion scene last week. For one of his games, NBA player Patty Mills looked hip in a brown Kohza leather biker jacket worn over a black and brown Laneus sweater. The jacket was accompanied with a pair of matching leather Kohza pants. Completing the look, Mills opted for a pair of black Dolce and Gabbana boots and a pair of black sunglasses that elevated the look.
Custom pieces were an essential part of last week. The one that stood out was fashion designerAdebayo Oke-Lawal’s adire (tie-dye) two-piece set from his brand Orange Culture. Between the sky blue color and the heart-shape pattern on the coordinating pieces, we were completely sold on Lawal’s finesse of this traditional Nigerian fabric. Going for a casual brunch look, he finished off the outfit with a pair of white Converse All Stars sneakers.
On the streets, at events, stars found new ways to shine, taking their individual style to the next level. Last week, the fashion scene was saturated with electric outfits thanks to Black men’s ability to pull off just any look.
