Why Britney Spears Suddenly Deactivated Her Instagram
Britney Spears has used her Instagram almost daily for months to candidly address what her experience in her conservatorship was like now that it has ended, along with the years-long

Fans noticed Wednesday afternoon that Spears suddenly deactivated her Instagram, with some worrying that Spears was forced to give up the account over her very honest confessions. TMZ reported that Instagram didn't take down the page, meaning Spears deactivated the account herself.
Shortly after TMZ's report, Entertainment Tonightran its own story, revealing it had learned Spears is just “taking a break from Instagram.”
Entertainment Tonight cited Spears making the decision to deactivate her Instagram temporarily in September before returning to the platform. A source told the outlet then, “She previously said she’d be taking a well-deserved break as many celebrities do, that's really it.”
Spears' fiancé, Sam Asghari, has been active on Instagram today and has not commented on her pause or suggested there's any reason to worry about Spears.
Spears' Twitter remains up. The singer explained her last Instagram break on that social media platform, tweeting on Sept. 14, “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement ?? !!!! I’ll be back soon ??✨”

Spears last used her Twitter in January to comment on her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ ABC News interview. “My family ruined my dreams 100 billion percent and try to make me look like the crazy one,” Spears wrote then, taking great offense to her younger sister releasing a memoir that addressed Spears and her conservatorship, using Spears' trauma “to sell a book at my expense.”
This post will be updated if Spears or Asghari address the reason behind her break directly.
