Kim Kardashian Discusses Pete Davidson’s Valentine’s Day Grand Gesture and Her Kanye West Relationship
Multiple Kim Kardashian interviews came out last night ahead of the premiere of her family’s new Hulu reality series, The Kardashians. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kardashian addressed her new romance with
Pete Davidson, their first kiss, and his grand gesture for Valentine’s Day. On ABC News, Kardashian spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband Kanye West, and how her oldest kids were aware of his social media remarks against her and Davidson.
“You wanna take the high road, and sometimes it’s hard, but I think that at the end of the day everyone has their own way of communicating,” Kardashian told ABC News of West, via Billboard. “I’ve always been a champion of him speaking his truth, and I would always want that.”
With their four children North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 4; and Psalm, 2, “I’m really open and honest with them,” she said. “You know, the younger ones don’t understand much, but as far as with my two older ones, they know what’s going on, and you have to just really be there for them, no matter what. Even in this crazy life that we live—you have to just have a really open dialogue with your children.”
“Kanye and I have had conversations,” she continued. “We have to talk daily for the kids. I hate that it had to play out like that, but when it comes to family, Kanye and I will always be family. At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy and think the world of their dad—and they do.”
To Kimmel, Kardashian confirmed her and Davidson’s first kiss was during their Saturday Night Live Aladdin sketch. “Actually, for Valentine’s Day, he got me the rug and the whole [Jasmine] outfit and the little genie lamp,” she said, revealing one of his grand gestures publicly.
Kimmel revealed another. “We had to carry in a huge bouquet of flowers Pete sent here for you. Does that make the other boyfriends look bad?” he asked Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian.
“I didn’t know that happened until right now,” Kendall Jenner said, and the family proceeded to avoid answering Kimmel’s question.
