Harry Styles Endorses Joe Biden in U.S. Election
Harry Styles is British, but the singer, who resides in Los Angeles, endorsed a candidate in the U.S. election on his Twitter yesterday: Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Styles reposted a video
from Biden's Twitter, writing, "If I could vote in America, I’d vote with kindness." Over one million people liked his tweet:

Styles doesn't usually get political on his social media but was a vocal supporter earlier this year of the Black Lives Matter movement. For context, Biden's Republican opponent, President Donald Trump, called the words Black Lives Matter a "symbol of hate," on Twitter this summer when the New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced plans to paint "Black Lives Matter" on the Fifth Avenue street near Trump Tower. Trump also infamously declined to denounce white supremacists during the first presidential debate in September. On October 1, Trump finally condemned white supremacist groups during an interview on Fox.
Regarding the Black Lives Matter movement, Styles wrote on his Instagram that he recognizes his privilege as a white man, supports those protesting, and was donating to bail relief organizations.
He wrote:
I do things every day without fear, because I am privileged, and I am privileged every day because I am white.Being not racist is not enough, we must be anti racist.
Social change is enacted when a society mobilizes.
I stand in solidarity with all of those protesting.
I’m donating to help post bail for arrested organizers.
Look inwards, educate yourself and others.
LISTEN, READ, SHARE, DONATE and VOTE.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
BLACK LIVES MATTER.
