Megan Fox Had Reportedly 'Reached Breaking Point' With 'Bitter' Ex Brian Austin Green Before IG Comments
Megan Fox made headlines earlier this week when she called her ex-husband Brian Austin Green out on Instagram for posting photos of their children on social media to try to feed
"the pervasive narrative that I'm an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year." According to E!, the outburst was a long time coming.
A source told the outlet that Fox "reached her breaking point and has had enough of Brian's games. She is incredibly frustrated that he's trying to make her look like a bad mom and decided to call him out on it. She especially hates that he's using the kids to try and get back at her." That source added that "she feels like he crossed a line and that something needed to be said publicly so that maybe he will think about what he's doing."
Green had posted a photo of himself in his Halloween costume where his and Fox's four-year-old son Journey was visible. Fox commented on the post, writing, "Why does Journey have to be in this picture? It's not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren't in. I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media. I know you love your kids. But I don't know why you can't stop using them to posture via Instagram. You're so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I'm an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year," she continued. "You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?"
Green didn't respond verbally. Instead, he took the post down and replaced it with a photo of just himself.
E!'s source added that Green is "bitter" about the end of his marriage to Fox and is "constantly trying to get under her skin to get some sort of attention or reaction." Green confirmed their separation in May of this year; the two had been married for 10 years. Fox has since gone on to date Machine Gun Kelly, whom she calls her "twin flame."
"Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time," Fox said during a July interview. "So we're actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away."
Green has been more reluctant to let go, saying in August on Instagram Live there was still a chance they could reconcile someday: "I never say never. You never know. I kinda feel like people are on paths in life and sometimes your paths are together and you travel that path together and you see eye to eye and then sometimes paths do different things. And, you know, we had an amazing 15-year relationship."
