Who Is Jellyfish on The Masked Singer?
We're finally getting down to the final days of season 4 of The Masked Singer, and the six finalists will perform tonight: Crocodile, Jellyfish, Mushroom, Popcorn, Seahorse, and Sun.
So far,
Jellyfish has impressed the panelists with their covers of Fergie's "Boys Don't Cry," Patsy Cline's "Crazy," and "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa. During their first performance on the show, Jellyfish was visibly nervous, but the next week, they seemed to have some more confidence. There is supposed to be an Olympian in the group this season, and so far, we haven't met that person. Many fans on YouTube think this person is a finalist.
Ken Jeong thinks this is Awkwafina, his on-screen daughter from Crazy Rich Asians, and Nicole Scherzinger guessed Sofia Richie, but fans have taken things in another direction with their predictions. After the Group C finals last week, fans on YouTube were naming Dixie D'Amelio, the social media influencer, as their guess.
Here are some more of the guesses about who this character is—we might just find out tonight.
Chloe Kim
Fans think that Kim, who is an Olympic snowboarder and gold medalist, is the Olympian behind the green costume. Kim is known for being the youngest woman to win a gold medal in snowboarding and has 650,000 followers on Instagram. The clues package mentioned the term "Instaclam," which could point to Kim's massive fandom on the app. There was also an Angelfish clue, and Kim made a cameo in Charlie's Angels (2019). A lot of fans think Jellyfish's nerves and voice might signal they're not a professional singer. This competition would definitely be a new, scary, and exciting challenge for someone used to shredding on the mountain, not hitting the high notes. There's also a clue about "baby powder." What do snowboarders shred? Exactly. Case closed.
Marsai Martin
The Black-ish actress is another top guess among fans. There's a reference to "a little-ish fairy tale," and some people think this is a clue about the ABC series. She was also in the movie Little (2019). Could this be a reference to two of her projects in one hint?
Trinity Fatu
A lot of people think this character is WWE wrestler Naomi, who's known as "the girl that GLOWS" and even notes that in her Instagram bio. Get it? Glow, jellyfish? That's about the only connection going here.
McKayla Maroney
Others think Jellyfish is gymnastic gold medalist Maroney. One fan in the YouTube comments went to the trouble of listening to her sing, and they think the voice matches. Kim seems to be a better fit for the Olympian slot considering the clues, but if we know one thing about Maroney and the rest of the Fierce Five, it's to never count them out.
