Kate Middleton Took Her Best Coats on the Royal Train Tour
The Duchess of Cambridge shopped her closet for coats to wear on the Royal Train Tour.
Date December 8, 2020
Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, wrapped up a three-day trip across the U.K. today. The royal train tour, which saw the Duke and Duchess visit England, Scotland and Wales, was a thank you to front-line workers and organizations for their service during the coronavirus pandemic. Middleton brought her fashion A game for the occasion, particularly when it came to her coats – notably, all of which she had worn on previous occasions. (Mindful shopping is a move we’ll always encourage).
See every look Kate Middleton wore on the 2020 royal train tour below.
Forest Green Alexander McQueen Coat
Middleton kicked off the royal train tour from London’s Euston station in a forest green Alexander McQueen coat, tartan scarf and a floral face mask.

Green Catherine Walker Coat
For their final stop on the royal train tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met up with other members of the royal family – Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex – at Windsor Castle for an outdoor event in honour of essential workers. Middleton wasn’t the only one to don a jewel-toned coat for the occasion: the queen wore a crimson jacket and matching hat, while Camilla wore a rich purple.
