Why There's No Elimination on The Masked Singer This Week
The Masked Singer is about to wrap its fourth season, but it's not quite time for the finale. Like any self-respecting family friendly TV show, the series has a holiday sing-a-long
special scheduled for this week.
Following the Super Six semi-finals last week, Seahorse (Tori Kelly), Popcorn (Taylor Dayne), and Jellyfish (Chloe Kim) went home. The remaining contestants are Pink Croc, Mushroom, and the Sun, who've all blown the audience and panelists away with their performances.
Many people think the Sun might be LeAnn Rimes, and from the sound of her impressive vocals, she might just take the whole competition. But we have to wait another week to find out who's taking home the Golden Mask in time for Christmas.
Instead, this week, panelist Ken Jeong, who's always ready with a ridiculous guess and comical quip, will perform The Little Drummer Boy,complete with a mini Ken head bouncing over the lyrics to guide your sing-a-long.
Yes, Jeong was the same panelist to show up at the Thanksgiving episode (where Broccoli was revealed to be Paul Anka) with a turkey hat on his head. Of course he'd be the person to get up on stage and sing a fun Christmas song.
Here's what else you need to know about the show tonight.
No one's going home, but there will be more clues.
The remaining three contestants will face off onstage next week, and tonight, we'll get some more animated clues about who the real people behind these characters are. Each will also debut a brand-new holiday song, according to Entertainment Weekly.
We'll see some fan favorites from this season, too.
We didn't say our final goodbye to all the eliminated contestants yet. Tonight, they will be back—unmasked—to join in the holiday fun.
One character in particular will be back to sing a new song.
Tori Kelly, who was revealed to be the Seahorse last week, released a holiday album, A Tori Kelly Christmas, this year. She'll be performing one of her songs from her album tonight.
It's sure to be, uh, entertaining no matter what.
In the spring, The Masked Singer aired another sing-a-long episode, but fans didn't seem to be too keen on it.
