playful to stand out in the crowd, or in refined lace for a see-through effect: tights and over-the-knee stockings are not just a simple way to cover your legs, but definitely take center stage in your winter wardrobe. All you have to do is pick your style from all the designer offerings for Winter. The idea is to amaze, creating a connection with the rest of the outfit: wear them with a short or high slit skirt, with shorts, or let them peep out if you’re wearing a mid-length skirt. 

Nensi Dojaka, seen at Fashion East, proposes refined tights with side lacing detail creating a sophisticated 3D effect. On the opposite side of the spectrum, see the (already) laddered tights (Gucci and Dilara Findikoglu) for rock stars and groupies.

Mame Kurogouchi opts for cozy crocheted tights, while Gucci and Prada celebrate the holiday season with red and green styles creating a sharp contrast with the rest of the outfit, usually in neutral tones (black, white, gray). Dilara Findikoglu sent down the runway a pair of sheer tights with pine green sequin appliqué that recalls a Christmas tree adornment.

Finally, a timeless classic: black lace tights inspired by lingerie: underneath a black bodysuit (Saint Laurent) while Dolce & Gabbana opts for over-the-knee tights teamed with knit French knickers.
