Inside Emma Stone's First Pregnancy: 'She's Felt Very Lucky That She Got to Be at Home'
Several outlets reported last week that Emma Stone is expecting her first child with her husband Dave McCary. Now, E! has rare details about the actress's pregnancy and her life in
Malibu as she and McCary prepare to become parents. Stone has kept her personal life largely private; she has no social media, and McCary has only shared one post about her on his Instagram—their engagement announcement.
A source told E! that Stone is "very excited about her pregnancy and what's to come," adding that the actress has spent most of it at her Malibu home and only travels locally if she leaves.
The source added that Stone has felt fortunate that she hasn't had to be on set while expecting. "She has always wanted a family and can't wait to be a mom," they said. "She's felt very lucky that she got to be at home during this period of time and wasn't working long days on set."
Stone has been active throughout her pregnancy, the source added, doing a lot "of walking in the hills around her house."
"She loves being by the ocean and getting to spend time outdoors being active," the source said.
E!'s details echo what a source told Us Weeklywhen news of Stone's pregnancy broke. "She seems very happy and very excited about becoming a mother—she’s constantly oohing and cooing," Us's source said. "She looks great, she looks healthy, she’s glowing. She’s been keeping up with friends and work lately, she’s always staying active and gets her daily exercise in."
Stone spoke about her hope of becoming a mom in her 30s during a 2018 interview with ELLE. "My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older," she told her friend Jennifer Lawrence. "I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids."
