Priyanka Chopra on Wanting 'Many' Kids With Nick Jonas and Whether Their 10-Year Age Gap Is a Hurdle
Priyanka Chopra gave a rare look into her relationship with her husband of two years, Nick Jonas, addressing her hope of starting a big family with him and how their 10-year
age gap affects them. Chopra is 38, while Jonas is 28.
Chopra told The Times that she wants “a cricket team!” of children. (There are 11 players on a cricket team.) She laughed, then added, “I do want children, as many as I can have. A cricket team? I’m not so sure.”
She was also asked whether the couple's age gap was the biggest hurdle in their relationship, more so than any cultural differences.
“Neither was a hurdle,” she said. “Nick took to India like a fish to water. But just like a normal couple, you have to understand each other’s habits and what each other likes. So it’s more of an adventure than trying to figure out hurdles. None of it was really that hard. And quarantine gave us the ability to spend a lot of time together, which I’m really blessed by. Because with both of our careers it’s hard to find that kind of time.”
Chopra didn't say much more about Jonas in the interview, just adding that "it’s so comforting to find a person who is in your corner. Whatever I may be in my professional life or how the world perceives me, I’m just a girl trying to live her life in the best way possible, and I’m so grateful to have a partner in doing that.”
