1. DMX, rapper, and actor, dies at 50
DMX, a renowned rapper known for his music, movies, and kind heart, has died, his family announced in a statement. He was 50. “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” family’s statement read in part.
According to his longtime attorney, Murray Richman, before he died, DMX had been hospitalized since last week when he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York. Artistes, athletes and other celebrities paid tribute to him on social media.

2. Nigeria: Veteran Nollywood actor Bruno Iwuoha has passed away
The Nigerian movie industry has lost another rare gem, Bruno Iwuoha, to the cold hands of death. The respected movie veteran passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja. It was also reported that the late Ihuoha had been battling with diabetes for years and had also lost his sight to the sickness.
Also confirming the actor’s death, Nollywood filmmaker, Derik Zia, shared a post on his Instagram page mourning the thespian. Nollywood actors and fans have been paying their respects to the late actor.

3. South Africa: Nasty C plans to retire once he makes $1 billion
Rapper Nasty C has revealed that he plans to retire when he turns 35, but only if he has made $1 billion. The award-winning rapper sat down with Sizwe Dhlomo in the latest episode of his podcast series and got real about how his approach to music has changed and how he thinks he could have done better in his rap career.
The pair also spoke about Nasty C’s plans for the future. When asked by Sizwe what life looked like for him after 35, Nasty C, who is 24 years old, said he had it all figured out already. He went on to say that once he made $1bn, he would stop making music.
4. Ghana: Take COVID-19 seriously – WHO warns Ghanaians again
The WHO Country Representative, Dr. Francis Chisaka Kasolo, has warned Ghanaians to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, saying the virus was still around and continues to spread among communities. He encouraged individuals to take personal responsibility for their lives, hence the need for all to strictly observe all the public health protocols, saying “handwashing, for instance, is not only for the prevention of COVID-19 but also for stopping contamination from other infectious diseases.”
Dr. Kasolo gave the caution in Accra on Friday, when he presented 9,580 quantity of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) medical equipment valued at GH¢ 2,132,000 to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to support Ghana’s efforts towards quality health care delivery.
5. Mahrez beats Iheanacho to PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award
Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has been announced as the winner of the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for March, beating Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho to the individual accolade. The Algeria star bagged three goals in four league games last month for the Citizens. This also includes his brace against Southampton.
The impressive performances were convincing enough for the forward to be voted as the best player by the fans ahead of Iheanacho, who delivered spectacular performances for the Foxes.
