Cardi B and Conservative Pundit Candace Owens Got Into A Twitter Feud About Joe Biden
In other news we didn't see coming in 2020, Cardi B and conservative pundit Candace Owens got into a Twitter fight over the weekend. It all started on Sunday when Owens
shared a clip of herself on The Ben Shapiro Show. During her appearance, she referred to Cardi as an "illiterate rapper" and implied her recent ELLE interview with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was a way of pandering to Black voters.
Cardi responded to Owens with a video of her own, one in which her sister Hennessy is allegedly harassed by Trump supporters. "You wanna know why joe gotta talk to me Candice cause I have the #1 song & yet my sister can’t go to the beach in the Hampton’s wit out trump supporters harassing," Cardi tweeted.
Yes you are right I have the number 1 song & I have a huge platform and I can make millions go vote to get the MAN THAT USED YOU .I don’t want to argue with you Candace I really don’t have the time .I honestly just feel sorry for you. https://t.co/haACwKRN13

Owens fired back at Cardi, writing, "Joe Biden used you. Bernie Sanders used you. Neither one of them like or know your music. They think you’re dumb." In another tweet, she wrote, "When you stick to music, you can get left alone. When you dabble in politics, you will get called out for platforming ignorance." Their feud escalated, with Owens claiming she turned down a speaking slot at the RNC convention. Cardi clarified that she wants her taxes used for education and healthcare over funding for the police.
Then, the two took their feud to Instagram Live with each making further comments about where they stand politically. (Cardi has since removed the IG live from her feed, but you can watch Owens' here.) Owens captioned her post by calling for Cardi to "Stop supporting Joe Biden who supported segregation and the mass incarceration of black men," adding, "I’m almost six months pregnant but got the time to rip you a new WAP." Cardi replied to the use of her number one song with Megan Thee Stallion by tweeting, "Your baby singing wap wap wap this some dry ass pussyyyy."
Both parties seemed to bow out of the fight later that day, using the viral feud to plug their respective projects. Cardi shared a video that appears to show Owens' husband playing "WAP" at a boat party and encouraged her fans to stream the song. Meanwhile, Owens told people to purchase her upcoming book, Blackout and claimed that she "broke" Cardi B.
I seriously don’t even know how me and Candice started arguing ?Just a couple of weeks ago her man was playing Wap in his Trump boat party !?I hate arguing wit people .Since I got new followers here STREAM WAP.Its Endorse my Melania ! pic.twitter.com/pLUSHlem0h

On Monday, Cardi concluded that she "will never praise no politician not even Obama, FDR or Bernie ONLY THE LORD!" During Cardi and Biden's long-ranging interview, they discussed police brutality, healthcare, taxes, and voter suppression. Cardi explained that she wanted to speak with the presidential candidate so "the new generation, my fans, my people to go out and vote." She added, "I know we are so eager to make money, to look a certain way, to have style, celebrity gossip. And it’s like, why don’t we make a change for real and vote?"
