Skin Care Products to Pack If You’re Traveling This Summer

Estimated Reading Time: 1 minute

I don’t know about you, but the items I pack first when I go on a holiday are my skin care products. No matter where you’re headed, be it a weekend getaway or a road trip, it’s important to take care of your skin during that journey.

To make packing easier for you, we rounded up some of the best Korean skin care essentials you don’t want to leave home without. Make sure to add these summer essentials to your packing list:

Double cleanse while on vacation

When you’re on the road, it doesn’t mean you have to stop double cleansing. Continue to double cleanse on your trip to get rid of makeup or excess oil that could clog your pores, resulting in breakouts. It’s not fun dealing with breakouts while traveling, so do your skin a favor and pack your favorite double cleansing duo. To avoid products from spilling or leaking, it might be easier to pack a cleansing balm instead of cleansing oil.

Refresh skin with a face mist

Take a face mist with you to keep your skin calm, hydrated and refreshed, especially if you’re headed to a beach destination. Face mists also come in handy if you’re traveling by plane. With COVID-19 measures still in place, it’s mandatory to wear a face mask on flights, and your skin could suffer from dehydration or irritation. Spraying your face with a mist every once in a while will boost your skin’s moisture levels and soothe your skin.

Stay moisturized

Our skin barrier can easily be compromised while traveling. The good news is that this issue can be avoided, and one way to maintain a healthy skin barrier while traveling is by moisturizing your skin. Spending more time in the sun can causes skin to appear dry and dull, so it’s important to hydrate skin to help protect it from environmental aggressors. Add a moisturizer to your luggage and apply it day and night to nourish your skin and prevent moisture loss.

If you’re packing light or don’t want to bring an entire tube or jar of moisturizer, opt for a mini version or travel-sized product.

Remember to pack sunscreen

Of course, no summer vacation is complete without sunscreen. This item should be at the top of your travel packing checklist to guarantee you don’t forget it! Even if you’re not planning a beach getaway, applying sunscreen is important to protect skin from sun damage and to decrease your chances of coming back from vacation with pigmentation. If your skin is prone to sunburn, it’s also a good idea to pack after-sun products such as aloe vera gel.
