Apart from causing maskne, constantly wearing a face mask can result in skin dryness, irritation and excess dead skin cells around the mouth area. COSRX’s new lip collection aims to buff away dead skin and replenish moisture to combat dry and flaky lips.
The line includes the Full Fit Honey Sugar Lip Scrub, Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Lip Plumper, Balancium Ceramide Lip Butter Sleeping Mask and Full Fit Propolis Lip Sleeping Mask. Full Fit Honey Sugar Lip Scrub
What it is: A lush lip scrub formulated with sugar crystals to gently buff away dead skin. It also keeps lips hydrated with soothing and hydrating ingredient such as honey extract. The gentle formula is suitable for those with sensitive lips.
Key ingredients: A blend of sugar, honey, shea butter and lemon extract.
My take: Apart from glosses, lip scrubs are a crucial step in the lip care routine to achieve flawless lips. COSRX’s Full Fit Honey Sugar Lip Scrub efficiently exfoliates and scrubs off flaky skin on lips with its sugar crystals. The formula’s blend of honey and lemon extract gradually absorbed into skin, softening and smoothing my rough lips. The scrub was uber-gentle and helped treat my dry, chapped lips! It’s also a nice basic step in my lip care routine as the scrub creates a smooth canvas for lipsticks or lip tints.
Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Lip Plumper
What it is: A multitasking lip plumper that visibly volumizes, smooths and hydrates lips.
Key ingredients: Chemical exfoliants AHA and BHA, as well as Volufiline, vanillyl butyl ether and Vitamin C.
My take: The Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Lip Plumper does it all as a plumping, exfoliating and nourishing lip product! I’d never tried a lip plumper before, so I didn’t anticipate the tingling effect upon application. The sensation felt like the burning after-feel I get after eating Korean spicy noodles. Initially, I thought it was from the AHA and BHA, but I was wrong. On the brand’s site, it explains that the tingling sensation comes from the commonly used plumping ingredient vanillyl butyl ether (a warming agent).
On top of its plumping properties, this lip plump product packs other powerhouse ingredients such as AHA and BHA to exfoliate dead skin cells and antioxidant Vitamin C to smooth fine lines on lips. It comes in a transparent waxy texture, and every swipe had a luscious buttery feel. This lip plumper replenishes skin, resulting in noticeably volumized lips with consistent use. I also noticed that my lips appeared less dull and dewier over time! I recommend using this item before applying lipstick, or for a lip therapy pick-me-up throughout the day. Note that if you have sensitive skin, don’t slather on too much!
Balancium Ceramide Lip Butter Sleeping Mask
What it is: A moisturizing lip sleeping mask that containsceramide, shea butter and plant-based oils to smooth and strengthen skin.
Key ingredient: Ceramide, caster seed oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil and shea butter.
My take: The Balancium Ceramide Lip Butter Sleeping Mask is like a hybrid of a lip oil and a lip mask, which I find ideal for keeping my lips moisturized overnight, or throughout the day without needing to reapply multiple times. It has a thick and velvety balm-like texture.
The lip mask felt good every time I swiped it on my lips as the formula spread like butter and left a luscious feeling. It also restored moisture, leaving my lips feeling supple and silky smooth with a high-shine finish! This formula provides multiple lip repair benefits instead of just temporary hydration relief. I firmly believe the ceramide in the ingredients helped strengthen my lips’ moisture barrier for the long term.
Full Fit Propolis Lip Sleeping Mask
What it is: A lip sleeping mask packed with propolis that instantly replenishes and nourishes skin.
Key ingredient: Propolis, shea butter and honey.
My take: If you’re already a fan of COSRX’s well-known Full Fit Propolis line, you’ll want to try out this newcomer to the range! The brand recommends using the overnight lip mask in tandem with other products from the Propolis line to experience maximum benefits. Though I hadn’t tried any products from this collection before, I’d heard plenty of good reviews from satisfied users. I’m now part of that crowd as the lip mask did not disappoint!
The Propolis Lip Sleeping Mask’s dense and transparent waxy texture, similar to Vaseline, melted onto my lips seamlessly. With just one to two swipes, the overnight lip mask delivered the dose of hydration my lips needed. Its nourishing ingredients, including honey and propolis, softened my lips while I snoozed, and I woke up to healthy and smooth lips the next morning!

It’s a great call for COSRX to expand its beauty range to include lip care, and I forecast that this new line may be among the brand’s bestsellers in the near future. Having tried more than my fair share of lip treatments, I can confidently say that COSRX’s collection delivered on the promised benefits! These new lip treatments match up to my go-to lip product, LANEIGE’s Lip Sleeping Mask. A little goes a long way when using COSRX’s lip care products, and none of them left my lips dry and flaky. My favorites are the BalanciumCeramide Lip Butter Sleeping Mask and Full Fit Propolis Lip Sleeping Mask as they both feel gentle and smooth on lips! I’m also a fan of the mighty Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Lip Plumper; despite the slightly bothering tingling sensation, it’s a great multitasker that provides lip care while delivering a subtle yet instant plumping effect.
