Starship Entertainment’s new six-member girl group IVE recently debuted on December 1 with their first single album Eleven, which includes debut single Eleven and B-side Take It. The group’s name
stands for “I HAVE,” meaning that the members are prepared to wow fans with everything they have. Among the members, you might recognize two familiar faces: Wonyoung and Yujin from Produce 48 and IZ*ONE. The rookie group is doing amazingly despite being less than a month old, as they recently took home their first music show win on Show Champion just seven days after IVE’s debut (beating a record previously set by girl group ITZY). They also achieved the second-highest first-week sales of any girl group debut album, and became the third girl group to surpass 100,000 first-week sales with their debut album.
IVE’s Eleven is a pop dance song that boasts smooth vocals, a signature “seven” point dance, and a pre-chorus with a unique slowed-down effect you’re not likely to forget anytime soon. The music video features a mysterious, sultry vibe as well as glamorous outfits that play with baroque print, pops of color, gold accents and black leather. Read on to recreate looks from the hottest MV of the moment!
Outfit #1
In this first set of outfits, the members rock boldly colored baroque print pieces in royal blue and hot pink. The print pieces give the looks a commanding, regal air, while the bright colors and short silhouettes keep the outfits youthful. Chunky gold jewelry and black leather boots offer some edge.
All six members are wearing black leather boots embellished with gold details. Wonyoung and Yujin sport thigh-high boots, Liz wears knee-high boots, and Leeseo, Gaeul and Rei don mid-calf boots. Recreate their look with buckled lace-up boots adorned with studs and chains, studded knee-high boots or chained cowboy boots.
Gaeul
Gaeul wears a blue baroque print pleated mini skirt paired with a long-sleeve square-neck cropped zip-up top in black. To highlight the gold-tone details on her skirt, she accessorizes with layered gold-tone hair clips and a gold-tone curved bar necklace.
Leeseo
Maknae Leeseo opts for a sleek, minimal black base consisting of a cropped turtleneck and hot pants. A pink baroque print bustier with buckled straps is layered over her turtleneck for a pop of color. A large, ornate gold-toned pendant necklace steals the show with a dash of drama.
Liz
Liz’s black short-sleeve mini dress seems like the simplest piece of the bunch until you see its adornments in the form of brooches, chains and baroque print trim. A pink baroque print hair scarf echoes the trim on her dress while adding interest to her unstyled tresses, and her gold-tone jewelry like a belt-style choker and rhinestone bracelet coordinates with the hardware found on her dress.
Rei
Like Leeseo, Rei’s outfit is based on a black turtleneck but hers comes in a short-sleeved iteration instead. On top, she layers a sleeveless crop top and a pleated mini skirt, both in blue and gold baroque print. In addition, the singer incorporates hot pink gemstone drop earrings to the look, and adds the finishing touch with a simple gold rectangle-pendant chain necklace.
Wonyoung
A solid block of highly saturated color, Wonyoung’s high-neck sleeveless A-line mini dress immediately grabs attention. Her black corset belt with gold accents breaks up the hot pink theme of her dress and echoes the studded leather boots seen on the members. She keeps the jewelry relatively simple with a smooth gold choker and textured drop earrings.
Yujin
One of the more formal outfits of the set, Yujin’s white long-sleeve button-up shirt adds a crisp, clean touch. However, it’s not just a basic white shirt, as it’s designed with baroque print trim. Her black pleated mini skirt featuring blue baroque print panels keeps up the theme of basic workwear pieces elevated with subtle, contrasting details. A pair of blue gemstone studs match the skirt panels, while her chain belt with gold cut-out charms showcases the fluidity of her movements as she dances in the MV.
Outfit #2
In addition to their group outfits, the members are each seen in an individual look to showcase a distinct charm and personal aesthetic.
Gaeul
Gaeul’s balayage curls are emphasized in a low-maintenance high ponytail, coordinating well with her contrast-trim black cardigan, which is a comparatively simple, wearable piece. She adds elegance and romance with a chunky chain choker, rose drop earrings and a gold leaf bracelet, all of which match the gold buttons on her cardigan.
Leeseo
Taking something classic and giving it a fresh spin, Leeseo’s tweed set is in a fun green hue and bedazzled with rhinestone trim and fringe. There’s even more glitz to be found via her green gemstone ring and wide headband with allover silver, green and pink rhinestones. Leeseo opts for knee-high patent purple boots to go out with a bang.
Liz
With her blond locks tied into two long braids, Liz dons an outfit that is a mix of old-world and contemporary influences. Her flowy mesh dress features a whimsical Renaissance print and comes in neutral greens and browns. She combines the dreamy dress with a zip-up black vest and black felt bowler hat offering a modern, androgynous spin, as well as a gold-tone mesh bracelet that adds a tougher feel.
Rei
Rei’s apparel, which includes a houndstooth panel cape and rhinestone-adorned A-line skirt, has an artsy, Parisian flair to it. She keeps things modest with a longer, knee-length skirt that ends at her slouchy knee-length boots, while a striking mohair fuchsia beret naturally catches the eye.
Wonyoung
Like Rei, Wonyoung adds a statement hat to monochrome attire. Considering the bold silhouette of her outfit (puff elbow-sleeve cropped leather jacket, black tiered mini skirt and lace-up boots), her large purple mohair bucket hat is not out of place at all. The various experimental pieces come together to create a cohesive, fashion-forward get-up.
Yujin
Of the individual outfits, Yujin’s is the most sophisticated. Her square-neck puff-sleeve A-line mini dress in black is ornamented with luxe gold-tone square buttons as well as a cheeky cut-out to keep things from being too stuffy. A rhinestone mesh choker and gold-tone sun drop earrings with pearl studs up the glam factor while still being unique and full of character. Black knee-high boots with rhinestone trim complete the all-black look offset with dazzling accents.
