Going Natural with BEAUDIANI’s Vegan Moist Collection

Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes

Korean beauty brand BEAUDIANI is a new kid on the block that uses natural ingredients to create skin care designed for sharing with the whole family. I was intrigued by the BEAUDIANI Moist collection, which is numbered from 01 to 04 to construct an easy-to-follow Korean skin care routine. In addition to Moist 01 Toner, Moist 02 Serum, Moist 03 Fluid and Moist 04 Cream, the line also includes Moist Toner Tissue. The Moist collection’s product packaging comes in a gorgeous aquamarine shade.

All five products feature daucus carota sativa (carrot) seed oil, which brightens skin tone and promotes healthy skin. They’re formulated with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) oil and citrus nobilis (mandarin orange) peel oil, as well as litsea cubeba (may chang) fruit oil which purifies and rejuvenates skin while removing excess sebum. In addition to offering moisturizing and soothing effects for balanced and glowing skin, the products are all vegan-verified and have passed skin irritation tests.

Moist 01 Toner

The Moist skin care routine starts off with the toner, which protects the skin barrier while moisturizing and soothing flaky and sensitive skin. The formula is enriched with EWG green-grade ingredients, including hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) extract to reduce redness and portulaca oleracea (purslane) extract for anti-aging and hydrating benefits. This toner has a non-sticky finish, and it’s one of the brand’s bestsellers.

At first glance, I was taken aback by the huge 260ml bottle. The product smells like sweet and zesty Fanta. Its lightweight formula applies smoothly and leaves skin feeling hydrated but not oily. The Moist 01 Toner quickly and easily absorbed into skin, serving as a great first step for my skin care routine.

Moist 02 Serum

The next step is the Moist Serum, which contains avena sativa (oat) kernel extract to protect skin from harmful external aggressors. The formula is infused with hydrating and soothing ingredients such as pteris multifida extract, cynara scolymus (artichoke) leaf extract, amaranthus caudatus seed extract and ulmus davidiana root extract. It boasts unique technology such as the Step by Step Firming System to soften and firm skin, Micro Silk Moisture capsule technology to provide deep nourishment, and Water Bank Gel Network, which forms a barrier over skin to care for dead skin cells and provide moisture.

Compared to the toner, the serum is in a significantly smaller 50ml pump bottle. The clear gel is much thicker than the toner with a slightly greasy feeling. It has a stronger scent that’s somewhat bitter. Although I’m not a big fan of its scent and texture, it made my skin feel moisturized and nourished.

Moist 03 Fluid

Featuring algae extract to form a moisture barrier on skin, the fluid provides deep and long-lasting nourishment with a refreshing feeling. Its minimal, gentle formula contains only necessary ingredients, which include natural extracts such as avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, pteris multifida extract, cynara scolymus (artichoke) leaf extract, amaranthus caudatus seed extract, ulmus davidiana root extract, undaria pinnatifida extract and eclipta prostrata leaf extract.

Like the serum, the fluid is housed in a 50ml pump bottle. The milky essence feels silky smooth on skin, light but still substantial, and offers a cooling sensation. Compared to the toner, which smells like Fanta, the fluid’s fragrance boasts the natural tang of fresh oranges.

Moist 04 Cream

In addition to natural extracts found in the other products, the Moist 04 Cream is formulated with moisturizing ingredients, including butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, vegetable oil, oryza sativa (rice) bran oil and ceramide NP. The highly concentrated moisturizing cream provides abundant nourishment and offers excellent adherence.

I expected the familiar velvety texture of most face creams but was surprised to find that this cream is extremely dense and waxy, reminding me of Vaseline. It also comes with a rather artificial waxy scent. The cream adhered to my skin well and left it feeling moisturized. Its thick texture means that a little goes a long way, so the cream’s small 50ml jar will probably last a long time.

Moist Toner Tissue

Like the toner, the toner tissue is enriched with portulaca oleracea (purslane) extract and witch hazel extract to soothe irritated and sensitive skin and reduce redness. Its mild, quickly-absorbed formula works to protect skin. This tissue can also be used as a calming mask pack to soothe sensitive areas.

The individual packages each contain two small sheets. I expected the same scent as the toner, but the toner tissue actually comes with a much subtler fragrance that’s faintly acidic. When wiping my skin with the toner tissue, I noticed that it bubbled up over skin, so I was worried I would have to wash it off. Thankfully, the product was absorbed into skin quickly. The toner tissue leaves skin feeling cleansed and moisturized, with a cooling finish. The only thing I would change is to include only one facial sheet in each package instead of two, as one piece was more than enough for each use.

Overall Thoughts

I love that the products from BEAUDIANI’s Moist range are filled to the brim with natural extracts, and even though my skin isn’t particularly sensitive, the vegan, non-irritating formulas were super moisturizing and soothing. My favorite product is probably the Moist 03 Fluid, as I adore its milky, silky smooth feel. I also appreciate the Moist 01 Toner in a massive bottle that’s sure to serve me for a long time, as well as the convenient, compact packaging of the Moist Toner Tissue, which fits easily into any bag and offers an ideal fix after a workout. I found the Moist 02 Serum and Moist 04 Cream to be too heavy, and in particular, I wasn’t fond of the cream’s waxy texture and scent. However, the cream’s ultra-dense formula is extra moisturizing, so those with extremely dry skin type should definitely check it out.
