4 Moods Created by Very Peri, Pantone’s Color of the Year 2022

Globally recognized color institute Pantone has created Very Peri (Pantone 17-3938) as its Color of the Year for 2022. According to Pantone, the periwinkle color “encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone” is a color that encourages creativity and expression.

In a break with tradition, Pantone digitally created a new color for its Color of the Year for the first time. The color was created in recognition of “how color trends in the digital world are being manifested in the physical world.” A hybrid of warm red and cool blue, Very Peri can create a variety of moods ranging from fun, sweet and lush to harmonious and sophisticated.
