I Got a Nordstrom Stylist to Make 5 Outfits for Me (and Every Piece Is on Sale)

While my job may involve telling other people what to buy and wear all day, there’s no denying that, even as an editor, at times I’m at a loss for an

outfit idea myself. Hey, it happens to the best of us, and when it does there’s no shame in reaching out for a little help. In fact, I hear it’s encouraged. So, when recently I became aware that everyone’s favorite store and shopping site, Nordstrom (duh), provides free styling services for anyone in the form of virtual appointments, chats, and pre-curated looks, I couldn’t help but reach out and see what they could do for me.

After getting paired with stylist Ebony Campbell, I provided a little mood board that illustrated some of my go-to looks and overall vibe. I then asked if she could curate five different outfits for me to wear when I’m no longer expecting come fall—something I'm pretty excited about! Oh, and since they happen to be in the midst of their famous Anniversary Sale at the moment, I (rather shamelessly) asked if Campbell could stick to the marked-down section of the site, too. She was kind enough to oblige, and if now you're thinking it doesn't get better than that, I must say I agree with you. One final upside, however, is that while these outfits were, in fact, tailored to my style, I think you'll agree upon seeing them that they are universally cool and might just want to shop them for yourself—so really, we're all winners here.
