Raven’s Wedding Dress Details
Now, if you watched “Say Yes to the Dress” as I did, then you know you want your wedding dress to sing to you! And Hubbard didn’t miss a beat with this one.
“I had an amazing experience working with Raven. My goal was for our bride to feel amazing in a custom gown made specifically for her. With Raven’s amazing body and her desire for an elegant bridal gown, we wanted to accentuate her curves with a flared mermaid style. I remember saying to myself after the first fitting… this is a time to show plus-size women all over the world that they too can have the gown of their dreams and we set out to do just that.”
Ashontay Hubbard, Designer and Founder of Christian Omeshun
The off-the-shoulder mermaid-style dress with a lace accent was gorgeous. Plus, it wasn’t Hubbard’s first time working with the actress. She often was dressed in “ready-to-wear” looks, so a customized wedding dress was a different experience.
“Many of our looks that Raven has worn are apart of our Ready to Wear collections. While they are still on the luxury side of fashion, this wedding dress definitely set the bar for our favorites looks of Raven! We’ve been able to be apart of some special moments for her and her family and we are super excited for what’s next!”

The Fashion Brand Has Been Providing Plus Size Bridal Looks For Three Years
Ashontay Hubbard started Christian Omeshun seven years ago. It is a plus-size contemporary fashion brand dedicated to catering to sizes 12-32 on a made-to-order basis. Hubbard knew too well -the struggle plus-size women endured to find good quality, fashionable clothing.
She set out to build a brand that provides a show-stopping, bold and colorful, yet essential and sophisticated plus-size garment solution. Hubbard was featured in Plus Model Mag, NY Times, Refinery 29, and more. She released her latest collection back in February.
But did you know Christian Omeshun does bridal as well? Hubbard explained that they have been doing bridal for three years, and we can look forward to an all-inclusive Bridal Collection for 2022. As of now, future brides can book their appointments for 2022 with the plus-size brand.
