While many are gearing up to go back to school, it’s back to the red carpet for some of our favourite celebs. The 77th Venice Film Festival is underway and the red carpet looks a lot different this year. As the kickoff to festival season in a year that has been anything but expected, new practices take centre stage as the film industry finds its footing. Stars on the socially distanced red carpet turned heads with this year’s must-have accessory, the face mask. Ever the trail blazer, Tilda Swinton carried a custom sculptural mask by James Merry that doubled as a statement accessory, suggesting we all may need a dressed up mask for our next outing.
