While the New York-based Nepalese designer is best known for his womenswear, for this collaboration he is lending his design eye to a collection of home decor items designed in partnership with independent artisans from around the world.

Inspired by Gurung’s life as a global nomad, the limited-edition collection includes everything from taper candles and dried floral arrangements to table linens, throw pillows and graffiti rose dinnerware “meant to transform any room or daily routine into a cheerful moment of self-expression.” The full collection was designed with bright joyful colours, unique textures, and hand dyed fabrics.

“I believe that we are more connected to each other when we celebrate the diversity that makes the world a more joyful and colorful place,” said Gurung. “This collection welcomes you to take a seat at the table and celebrate the art of living, with a worldly sensibility that shines a light on the diverse independent makers in the global Etsy community.”

Prabal has long advocated for diversity, inclusivity, and believes that we are “stronger in color."

This month, the designer who has previously dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton and Anne Hathaway, equally announced its foray into bridal wear with the launch of a 12-piece collection focused on sustainability and versatility. It is expected to hit stores in October.

The Prabal Gurung collection for Etsy is now available online with items starting at $30.
