Model, actress and philanthropist Elisa Senaoui has teamed up with ethical Parisian fashion brand
target="_blank" title="Antik Batik">Antik Batik to create an 11-piece collection, with 100% of the profits set to go to Sednaoui’s non-profit, Funtasia.
Conceived as an “imaginary suitcase for a summer holiday,” the capsule collection includes tops, trousers, shorts and dresses, as well as a jacket and a shirt. Combining a hippy-chic aesthetic with lightweight fabrics such as viscose crepe and cotton, the pieces have been designed by Sednaoui and Antik Batik founder and creative director Gabriella Cortese as a complete summer wardrobe with which wearers can create looks for any time of day.
Prices range from 105 euros for a viscose top, to 495 euros for a leather and velvet jacket with fringe details.
“Antik Batik is a brand I’ve loved since my mother introduced me to it, when I was a teenager. I have always admired their ability to produce great quality items with artisans around the world and especially India. They master the bohemian spirit, making it more urban with their very own Parisian touch,” explained Sednaoui, commenting on the collection in a release.
Founded as a reflection of Sednaoui’s passion for education in 2013, Funtasia is a non-profit which provides content and experiences that seek to develop emotional responsiveness, interpersonal relations, self-expression and quality social interactions.
Targeted at children, parents and educators, and available in both physical and online formats, the materials and experiences offered by Funtasia aim to serve as a creative complement to traditional education. The organization’s charitable approach allows it to bring its educational mission to underprivileged communities around the world.
The collaborative collection is available to purchase on Antik Batik’s e-commerce platform, starting 5 May.
