Montreal-based retailer Ssense unveiled on Wednesday the launch of Ssense Kids, adding to its recently expanded product offering.
The new department will feature a gender-neutral assortment of apparel, accessories and footwear for children, ranging in size from for newborns through to 14 years old.
At launch on Wednesday, 18 brands will be available including exclusively designed capsule collections from 1017 ALYX 9SM, Collina Strada, Doublet and more.
Likewise, new arrivals from over 80 other brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci, Off- White, Rick Owens, Stella McCartney and Thom Browne are expected to be added frequently.
The launch of Ssense Kids follows the introduction in December of “Everything Else,” a new department which the luxury retail firm described as a curated space, offering a mix of exclusive, emerging, and established brands across homeware, technology, activity, self-care, petwear, and everything else.
Prior to that, it made its first foray into dogwear, which was inspired by Ssense’s highly popular Instagram series #SSENSEInterns, that featured employees' dogs modeling the latest fashions.
The new product categories join the retailers' popular high-fashion assortment, in order to further cater to its core Millennial and Gen Z audience, which represents 80 percent of its customer base.
The Montreal-based company, founded in 2003, carries a mix of luxury, streetwear, and avant-garde labels like Off-White and Vetements.
