Amazon Studios announced on Wednesday the 10 designers and entrepreneurs who will compete to take their brands to the next
level on season two of its fashion competition series 'Making the Cut’.
Set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on July 16, 2021, the eight-episode fashion competition series, will welcome designers from five different countries. They include; Ally Ferguson, from Los Angeles, California with 15 years of experience from iconic brands such as G Star Raw, Ed Hardy and Field Scout; Andrea Salazar, from Medellín, Colombia, the founder and designer behind the world-renowned brand, SETA; Dushyant Asthana, from Jaipur, India, a multi-disciplinary artist and fashion designer; and Gary Graham, from Franklin, New York, known for his namesake label.
Likewise, season two will welcome Joshua Scacheri, from London, England; Lendrell Martin, from South Orange, New Jersey; Lucie Brochard, from Paris, France; Olivia OBlanc, from New Orleans, Louisiana; Andrea Pitter, from Brooklyn, New York; and Raf Swiader, from Sosnowiec, Poland.
Filmed in Los Angeles, season two will have each designer competing in assignments that challenge not only their design skills, but also their ability to run all facets of a fashion brand.
The winner will be crowned during the finale episode on August 6, 2021 and will receive the ultimate prize of $1 million to invest in their business, the opportunity to sell a collection in the Amazon Fashion store, and a mentorship with Amazon Fashion.
In March, Amazon Studios first announced that hosts and executive producers Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn will be joined by Winnie Harlow, world-famous supermodel, and fashion pop icon and Moschino creative director, Jeremy Scott, on the new season.
Throughout the season, they will equally welcome guest judges, including award-winning fashion designer and activist Prabal Gurung and costume designer and celebrity stylist Shiona Turini.
