As Ben Affleck's romance with Jennifer Lopez publicly blossoms, E! got intel on just how uninterested his ex-wife and the mother of his three children Jennifer Garner is in being part
of that narrative or Affleck's deliberations on what to do.
A source said that Garner “doesn't want to be a part of the circus or media attention in any way.” She remains focused on their family, specifically their three kids, Violet, 15; Serafina, 12; and Samuel, 9.
“She's trying to live her life and raise her kids, and the last thing she wants to be doing is be dealing with Ben's love life," the source said. “Her focus is always on the kids' happiness and Ben being a good father.”
This is the second report that has come out about how Garner feels about Affleck's renewed romance with J.Lo, his ex-fiancée he dated before he and Garner got together in mid-2004. A source told Entertainment Tonighton May 2 that Garner wishes Affleck the best with his pursuit and isn't perturbed by it. “Jen isn't bothered by Ben hanging out with J.Lo or anyone else. She wants what is best for Ben,” the source said.
Affleck's relationship with Garner is good right now, the source added: “What matters most to her is Ben being a great dad. They've been in a good groove when it comes to co-parenting for a while and their kids' happiness is Jen's main priority.”
Us Weeklyand Entertainment Tonight report that Garner is taken too, by the way. She and her ex-boyfriend John Miller, CaliGroup's CEO, have gotten back together less than one year after initially splitting.
“John has shown Jen that he doesn't care about fame and Jen really likes that about him,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “He is a down to earth, hardworking guy and they have a strong, natural connection. They relate to each other because they are both very hands-on parents who love their children very much. John has made a big effort to be in Jen's life and they're rekindling their relationship."
In a testament to how good things are between Affleck and Garner as co-parents, Affleck shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to Garner on Mother's Day (shortly after he returned from his week-long vacation with Lopez).
“So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother's Day. Love, their Dad,” Affleck wrote on his Instagram.
