Under Armour is the latest brand to enter the Middle Eastern market with a new flagship store opening in
Dubai.
The American sportswear company said it is its biggest store to-date in the region, spanning 14,000 square feet. It’s also one of Under Armour’s most innovative properties offering interactive tech to assist shoppers as they shop the variety of brand products and discover their benefits throughout the store.
The store is integrated with the brand’s MapMyRun app creating a link between brand and customer. Its features include a 3D foot scanner where customers can see a 360-degree scan of their foot using AI technology, and other technology that helps staff obtain shoe recommendations based on requirements provided by the customers. Moreover, the store is home to new smart touchscreens where customers can browse and compare sizes, price, fit and more details.
Meanwhile, customers can shop exclusive apparel from brands like Project Rock, Iso-Chill Running and Training gear, and Under Armour fitness for adults and children. The last stop in the store is the 'Chill Out Lounge’, which is equipped with phone charging stations and an interactive 3D map of Dubai.
Earlier this month, Under Armour raised its expectations for annual profit and sales, after reporting a 35 percent jump in revenue. The brand said the reopening of economies in the United States and Asia fueled demand for its sports shoes and apparel.
The company expects full-year revenue to rise by a high-teens percentage, compared with a previous outlook of a high single-digit percentage increase.
