Days after the release of their new single “Butter,” global superstars BTS joined the Billboard Music Awards from South Korea, posing on their own red carpet to accept the Billboard Music
Award for Top Selling Song (“Dynamite”). The boys—Jungkook, J-Hope, Jin, RM, V, Jimin, and Suga—dressed sharply in black suits, showcasing just how you do evening wear and make it fresh with different style (and textured) blazers:

BTS won all four of the Billboard Music Awards they were nominated for tonight: Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist, and Top Selling Song (“Dynamite”). They will also be performing “Butter” live for the first time at the ceremony.
Ahead of the ceremony, the boys spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music about their new single. RM said that they didn't originally envision releasing another single, but the pandemic changed their plans. “Firstly, we never actually expected that we were going to release another single, but the virus is getting longer and longer so we thought we need another summer song,” he said. “We thought we needed another summer number, and ‘Butter’ was perfectly fit for that. And now we're here.”
With COVID putting touring on hold, RM told Lowe, making music was their only option to get through it. “We have no choice, actually. Our two biggest base is... One is maybe making music. Another thing is performing. And now, performing is just collapsed so the only base we still have is making music,” he explained. “In spite of the situation, all we can do is just keep making music. We've done kind of like a calm and serious vibes like ‘Life Goes On,’ and maybe something with a consoling vibes like ‘Dynamite.’ Now, what we can do is just release a cool summer song and make people dance in their rooms or houses or anywhere to just give them energy and help them survive. I think it helps us, too.”
