Drake’s son Adonis made a surprise appearance at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards. He joined his father on stage as Drake won artist of the decade award. Drake, 34, gripped his son’s shoulder throughout his speech at the Billboard Awards ceremony before hoisting him into the air and saying: “I want to dedicate this award to you.”
The three-year-old burst into tears and left the stage clinging to his father’s leg. Drake, who has won 28 BBMAs to date, holds the title for most Billboard awards after taking home 12 prizes in 2019.

Last week, the Internet was taken by surprise when a video surfaced online showing budding singer Olurunyomi Oloruntimilehin, aka Bad Boy Timz, being paraded in handcuffs. In a statement by the artiste’s record label, Anonymous Music, they stated that the “MJ” singer was arrested for allegedly defrauding the company. Their statement also indicated that the artist is being sued, and the court will further handle the matter.
Today, May 24, the artiste’s management released a statement, saying they had terminated the contract with the label long before now. It also reported they’d be taking legal steps concerning the matter.
3. South Africa: AKA tells all since Nelli Tembe’s death and violence accusations
After more than a month of widespread speculation and amid calls of boycott, rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes takes the hot seat in a tell-all interview with news anchor Thembekile Mrototo produced by The Bar Leader TV. AKA’s 22-year-old fiancée Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe died on April 11 after apparently falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. The circumstances around her death remain under investigation.
In the interview, AKA shared his version of events and address allegations surrounding his relationship with Nelli.
4. Ghana Music Awards UK open for submissions
The organizers of Ghana Music Awards UK (GMA-UK) calls on artistes, producers, and others to submit their works for nomination for the 5th edition of the awards show. In a press release, the organisers stated that it is accepting works released within the year under review (April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021).
The submission of works is expected to begin on May 25 and end on June 22, 2021. Also, the 5th edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK will come off on October 9, 2021.
5. Simone Biles becomes first woman to land Yurchenko double pike

Defending world champion gymnast Simone Bilesbecame the first woman to land the Yurchenko double pike vault move in competition at the GK US Classic in Indianapolis on Saturday.
The Yurchenko double pike—a high-difficulty skill historically only done by men—is a roundoff onto the springboard, followed by a back handspring onto the vaulting table and ending with a piked double backflip into the air to landing.
Biles, 24, performed the move and then added two extra hops for a slightly imperfect landing. Overall, the four-time Olympic gold medalist successfully defended her GK US Classic all-around title with a score of 58.4. This was her first competition in more than a year and a half. Biles took the top score on both balance beam and floor exercise.
