Kate Middleton and Prince William's tour of Scotland continues today, with the Duchess of Cambridge stepping out for her second outing there with her husband. Yesterday, Kate channeled Princess Diana and
wore a royal blue monochrome look. Today, Kate is doing monochrome again, this time in an all tan ensemble.
The Duchess paired a long camel Massimo Dutti coat with tan trousers and a tan sweater. The only colored accent she had was a red tartan scarf. She wore her hair half up, half down and accessorized minimally with dangle earrings, a tan clutch, and tan heels. She wore a surgical mask on and off during the engagement too. The couple visited The Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall, Orkney. It's unclear whether Kate has gotten a COVID-19 vaccination yet, but William received his first dose prior to his tour of Scotland.
William spoke over the weekend about Scotland's special connection to his and Kate's love story.
He said, via People, “It was here in Scotland—20 years ago this year—that I first met Catherine [at St. Andrews, where they attended college]. Needless to say, the town where you meet your future wife holds a very special place in your heart. George, Charlotte, and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us, and they are starting to build their own happy memories here too. We have no doubt they will grow up sharing our love and connection to Scotland from the Highlands to the Central Belt, from the Islands to the Borders.”
