Count on Zendaya to have one of the biggest style moments of the 2020 Emmys, even if the show is taking place virtually during the coronavirus pandemic. The Euphoria actress wore
a Christopher John Rogers dress, a sleek low bun, and dramatic eye makeup. There were jewels, of course: A glittering Bulgari necklace and sparkly Louboutin heels.
Her stylist Law Roach shared the look on Instagram with the caption, "If Emmy was a real girl...."

Ahead of the ceremony, Roach kept mum on the details of her outfit. He told E!, the real question is "Do we dress up? Do we not dress up? Do we celebrate? Do we not celebrate, you know? I won't tell too much. We might have a dress, we might not have a dress."
Zendaya is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for her work as Rue on Euphoria. It is Zendaya's first-ever Emmy nomination.
When her nomination was announced, Zendaya wrote a post on Instagram about receiving the honor. "I’m honestly speechless, my heart is just overflowing with love and gratitude," she started. "I’m so incredibly honored to work beside the talented people that I get to call family. I am a small piece of a big beautiful puzzle and I’m so proud of all of you. Thank you to everyone out there who’s watched and given our show life, thank you @samlev00 @hbo @a24 for everything and @televisionacad for this beautiful acknowledgment, thank you, thank you, thank you. We out here Emmy nominated y’all!!"

She also spoke to InStyle for its September 2020 issue about how she felt about Euphoria's season 2 filming being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. When asked if she missed playing her character, she admitted: "I do miss Rue. She's like my little sister in a lot of ways," she said. "And going back to that character is a home base for me. There is a beautiful second season that has been written, but in order to do it the way we want to do it, we need to wait until it's safer. There is an idea to do a couple of bridge episodes that can be shot safely but aren't necessarily part of Season 2. So, hopefully, we will be able to do those in the coming months. I can't wait."
