Gigi Hadid has given generouslooks at her life as a parent here and there, and she continued this morning in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar. In the piece, the model
spoke to the magazine about what her daughter Khai is like at 10 months and how her boyfriend Zayn Malik is doing with Khai and Hadid's family as he and Hadid continue their serious relationship.
Hadid said that she and Malik will take Khai on little hikes in the woods, put on Bollywood music for her, or sing “one Arabic nursery rhyme in particular that Khai enjoys,” Harper's Bazaar wrote. The outlet didn't specify which one.
“She loves the birds, the animals,” Hadid said. “It’s nice to be outside after a long winter.” Hadid added that, like her, Khai will horseback ride someday too. “She will one day definitely be on a horse,” Hadid said.
The model also detailed what Khai's first visits with her parents to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City were like. At the Natural History Museum, Khai was fixated on the dinosaurs “with the same wonder she has for, Gigi notes, buildings or cars and other big things,” the outlet wrote.
When Malik and Hadid were photographed taking their daughter to the New York Aquarium at Coney Island, it was because Malik noticed Khai's “enthusiasm for their television’s screen saver, particularly the jellyfish,” the outlet wrote.
Hadid explained, “Zayn had the idea, he’s like, ‘We should take her to the aquarium.’” Khai loved the jellyfish there, too.
Hadid addressed how Malik gets along with her family now and the adjustment he made from when he first started getting to know the Hadids. “At first he was like, ‘How do I get a word in edgewise?’” she started. “But now he is very comfortable. He speaks his mind. When he’s in the middle of a family thing and everyone’s like, ‘Zayn, whose side are you on?’ he’s charming. He’s usually on my mom's side, so he's smart in that sense.”
