to Meghan Markle fashion brands. Meghan Markle’s dress sense has changed drastically over the past few years. During her career as a TV actress in Hollywood, she attended lots of red carpet events, favouring cute strapless party dresses with high heels.
Fast forward a few years, and the Duchess of Sussex truly embraced royal style, thanks to a more formal wardrobe of tailored pencil dresses, suits and ballgowns. Much like her sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s favourite fashion brands, Meghan often champions local designer and high street brands, and she has carried on doing so since moving to America, often wearing a mix of American and British labels.

Since the pandemic, the Duchess has understandably made fewer public appearances, focusing instead on the odd Zoom meeting. She wore this gorgeous citrus print Oscar de la Renta gown to chat about Harry’s and her’s podcast Archewell. It has since mostly sold out, though you can now buy it in the Net-A-Porter sale.

The Duchess wore these casual striped trousers for a backyard chat with feminist Gloria Steinem in September 2020. She paired them with a t-shirt and some strappy sandals.

The Duchess of Sussex still tries to incorporate local designers whenever she is on official duty in the UK, and that includes Victoria Beckham, whose label she is fond of (and the pair seem to be on good terms as she and David Beckham were at the royal wedding). She wore a bright turquoise tailored dress during one of her last appearances before moving out of the country.

The Goat website crashed within minutes of the Duchess of Sussex being photographer wearing its Flavia silk-crepe pencil dress at Prince Charles’ 70th celebrations, and while the dress has long since sold out, you can still buy similar styles. It has now been rebranded as Jane Atelier.

Ever since wearing a second wedding dress by Stella McCartney, the Duchess has been a firm favourite of the brand, wearing it on several occasions, including Remembrance Sunday 2019. Whilst you could buy the exact replica of her wedding dress for a few years, it has now been discontinued. However this Whistles wedding dress is very similar.

Both Meghan and Kate are big fans of Carolina Herrera and we’ve noticed the Duchess of Sussex stepping out in more of the designer’s sophisticated dresses. Most notably, her off-the-shoulder number at Trooping the Colour attracted a lot of attention by bending the royal fashion rules and also for just generally being a stunning piece straight out of our dream wedding guest dresses wardrobe.
She also dressed things down in a classy denim midi at Prince Harry’s charity polo dress which won us over, mainly because it had pockets. POCKETS.

If you’ve ever googled ‘Meghan Markle fashion brands’ then you’ve definitely come across this Scottish bag brand. The Duchess loves Strathberry so much that she owns several bags in different styles and colourways. It sells out quite regularly but is often re-stocked, so you can get your hands on the style easily.

When it was announced that Harry and Meghan would make an appearance shortly after they announced their engagement, everyone was wondering what she would wear. When off duty, Meghan loves wearing a white men’s shirt, teamed with a pair of ripped jeans by Mother Denim – a Californian brand favoured by many celebs.
