Exes-turned-friends Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are publicly reuniting again for charity. The two actors, who were married from 2000 to 2005, have both signed on to the Fast Times at
Ridgemont High virtual table reading. The event will raise money for Sean Penn's nonprofit CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) and the REFORM alliance, a criminal justice reform organization.
According to the event's press relief, per CNN, the event will be a "unrehearsed, anything-goes table read." You can watch the event live this Friday at 8 PM on CORE's Facebook page.
Aniston and Pitt went viral earlier this year when they had a moment backstage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Photos of them hugging spread and became one of the biggest news stories of the night:
Pitt described Aniston as a good friend of his at the Golden Globes, shortly before their SAG reunion. "I'll run into Jen, she's a good friend," he told Entertainment Tonight, making a little joke about how much the public craves it. "The second most important reunion of her year? I understand," he added, clarifying, "That was a play on Friends. They were saying that [the cast doing a reunion special on HBO Max]."
A source told Peoplein January that there's nothing romantic happening between them, even if they are both single. Aniston "is not dating Brad," the source said. "They are friends and happy for each other. They want nothing but happiness for each other. She is happy to have Brad back in her life as a friend, but that’s it."
