Kanye West was photographed also covering his face in an all-black look tonight in New York City. He is not, according to TMZ, joining Kardashian at the Met Gala.

Kardashian hasn't given any major interviews recently, but she did speak in June during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special about how hard she pursued fame when she was younger. She purposely frequented Los Angeles hotspots, she explained, via E!: “I would stop off at Robertson's, I would stop off at the Ivy to pick up something to go, even if it was some bread to go,” she joked. “I think I can talk about it because it's so funny. I think people need to be more honest about those moments in life when you're just super desperate and want that.

Kardashian opened up more to Interview in 2017 about chasing fame initially and what she hoped to accomplish with her career. She wanted “stupid little things [when I first started my career]. I would look in a magazine—there was this page in Us Weekly that I remember vividly. It’s just a spread, and it has one person and all the fashion moments that they love. I remember looking at it, being like, ‘It would be my dream to be this person.’ I was so excited when I got it. I still don’t take anything for granted. I am genuinely still so excited about my career. I feel like now is when someone would turn off and think, ‘Okay, I’ve done this for ten years. I’ve done pretty well for myself. I can chill for a bit.’ But instead I’m like, ‘No, let me turn it up.’”
