Kanye West has been very actively and publicly attempting a reconciliation with his ex, Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce early in 2021. A source told The New York Post this
weekend that he also has a private strategy, a list of reasons for why they need to get back together.
“He calls the reasons for winning back Kim ‘The Holy Trinity,'” they said, before breaking down the three key points on West's agenda.
Number one is that he “isn’t sure if any other woman is going to be able to put up with him. He is a lot — and Kim is already used to everything, he doesn’t have to explain things to her. She knows how to put up with him when he is going through his dark days.”
Number two is their four children, daughters North and Chicago, and their sons Saint and Psalm.
His third reason? The source says that “as a religious person” West doesn’t want to get a divorce. The source threw in one more reason, even though it's a Holy Trinity.
“He also cares about his image,” they said. “He thinks [Kardashian] looks good next to him.”
West was particularly busy during the week of Thanksgiving, when he posted a video called his “Thanksgiving Prayer” to Instagram about the mistakes he made during his relationship with Kardashian and his brief political career.
“Let’s go with politics here,” he said. “Good Lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat. Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family. I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood’s political stance and that was hard for our marriage.”
He continued, “Then I ran for President without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and — thanks God — only press conference. All my dad had to say afterwards was, ‘Write your speech next time, son.'”
That week, West also posted a photo to his Stories of himself kissing Kardashian. His Instagram account has since been deleted.
A Kardashian family source said she “obviously” saw everything, but that Kardashian is “still moving forward with everything and she’s still dating Pete[Davidson] … She doesn’t have any plans to get back together with Kanye at all.”
They added, “I do think that Kim’s kids are the most important thing to her and having a great co-parenting relationship with their dad is so important... There are, of course, ups and downs in Kim and Kanye’s relationship as they navigate their divorce. But they are not getting back together, as much as Kanye might want to.”
