Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu has been named the 98th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes. The founder of EbonyLife Group was named among other 100 very influential and powerful women in the world by the financial magazine.
According to Forbes, Abudu was recognised for her outstanding contribution in the media and entertainment sectors. The other Nigerian who made the list is the former minister of finance and current Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
2. Nick Cannon’s youngest son Zen dies from brain tumor
Nick Cannon has shared that his youngest son with Alyssa Scott, Zen Scott Cannon, has passed away from a brain tumor. He was born on June 23rd of this year. On Tuesday December 7, while opening his talkshow Nick Cannon, with his segment “Pic of The Day,” the 41-year-old shared the tragic news with his studio audience and opened up about how his family has been reacting to the news.
Cannon shared that on Thanksgiving, he noticed his son’s health take a turn and on Sunday (Dec. 5) that was the last time he was able to be present with his son Zen before he died. Cannon also detailed moments about his son’s health and observations he noticed months after he was born.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest is on a winning streak this year and has finally unveiled his music studio after jumping through many hoops to make it happen. Taking to Twitter, Cassper unveiled his new recording studios he finished building after a few setbacks. MoAbudu Forbes
Cassper had plans to build a home recording studio, but those plans were halted after a contractor allegedly ran off with his money and left the job incomplete.
4. COVID: Vaccines should work against Omicron variant, WHO says

Existing vaccines should still protect people who contract the Omicron variant from severe COVID cases, a World Health Organization (WHO) official says. It comes as the first lab tests of the new variant in South Africa suggest it can partially evade the Pfizer jab. Researchers say there was a “very large drop” in how well the vaccine’s antibodies neutralized the new strain.
But the WHO’s Dr.Mike Ryan said there was no sign Omicron would be better at evading vaccines than other variants. He said initial data suggested Omicron did not make people sicker than the Delta and other strains. “If anything, the direction is towards less severity,” he said.
5. Pele: Football legend back in hospital for treatment on colon tumor

Brazil legend Pele is in hospital for treatment for a colon tumor. The three-time World Cup winner had surgery to remove a colon tumor in September, with the hospital saying at the time that he would also need to have chemotherapy. Sao Paulo’s Hospital said the 81-year-old was in a stable condition and would be discharged in the next few days.
The hospital also said Pele was now “continuing” his treatment. Pele said on Twitter last month that he was “fine” and “feeling better every day” following his release from hospital in September. He had been having treatment at the hospital since August 31 after the tumor was detected in routine tests.
